It’s amazing what can go city officials to encourage residents to read the books! At the initiative of one of the townspeople, the mayor of the Romanian city of Cluj-Napoca has agreed to an experiment: for a few summer days with passengers who read in public transport books, not charged a fare.
Surprisingly, this is not the only civil initiative, aimed at improving the population’s interest in books. There is, for example, a well-known campaign Bookface. And every year April 23 is celebrated world book day in Cluj-Napoca, anyone got book, free admission to the Botanical garden.
