Rare surrealist cookbook Salvador Gave was reissued for the first time in 40 years

When it comes to Salvador Dali, the first thing that comes to mind is the melting clocks and all sorts of surreal things. But not many people know that the outstanding extraordinary artist was at the time still and cooking connoisseur and even released his own cookbook “Les Diners de Gala” in 1973. It was published only once, and, as suggested, with a circulation of just 400 copies. But now, thanks to Taschen, you can order your own cookbook from Dali, for the first time in 40 years.

The publishers decided to republish the book Gave a unique manner the artist himself, and as you can see, she’s as weird as you might expect. Among the 136 recipes that was included in the book, you can find the recipe frog legs, and pies, and stuffed snails, and other exotic Goodies. And, of course, each recipe is accompanied by an original illustration in the manner of Dali.
