No, it’s not a new kind of secret military equipment and not a character in any of the next cartoon about Panda hero. This is a real sculpture of the giant Panda, which is in China!
This is an unusual work of art created by Bi Heng, a graduate of the Department of sculpture at China Academy of fine arts. The statue is located in Shenyang (Liaoning province) and is a huge Panda with a height of 9 meters and a width of 7.
Besides the fact that it evokes the delight of passers-by, according to the author, the sculpture carries a very specific message: this is a sad Panda, dressed in iron armor, symbolizes the eternal conflict between nature and man — the problem of development of science and technology and environmental conservation of our planet.
Sign of Eastern mysticism that used Bi Han, in his conception, symbolizes that everything in the world is interconnected, and that scientific and technological progress and respect for nature should always go hand in hand.
